Alvin R. Beam Painting, LLC was founded in 1972 by Alvin R. Beam. He successfully operated the business for many years before passing it on to his son, Gary, who continued to grow the company. After working with the family for over 20 years, in February 2017, I was given the opportunity to purchase the business.  I renamed it Beam Painting LLC to carry the legacy and commitment to our community forward under a new chapter.

I recently subcontracted Beams Painting for the interior finishing work on a significant home addition project in Carlisle PA, and as a general contractor, I've worked with many painting crews over the years—this team truly stands out.



From day one, their reliability was exceptional. They coordinated seamlessly with my other trades (framing, drywall, electrical), showed up exactly when scheduled, and communicated proactively about any adjustments needed due to site progress. No delays, no excuses—they kept the project timeline on track without me having to chase them.

What impressed me most as a GC was their clean job site management. They treated the workspace like it was their own: full protection of finished floors, cabinets, and adjacent rooms with proper drop cloths, plastic sheeting, and tape; daily thorough cleanups with no paint drips, dust, or debris left behind; and they even vacuumed and wiped down surfaces at the end of each shift. This level of consideration made it easy for my other subs to work efficiently and kept the homeowner happy throughout the process—no complaints about mess or disruption.

The quality of work and craftsmanship was outstanding. Their prep was meticulous—sanding, patching imperfections, caulking gaps, and priming for a flawless base. Cutting in around trim, windows, and ceilings was precise with razor-sharp lines, and the final coats delivered even coverage, rich color depth, and a durable finish that holds up well in high-traffic areas. The attention to detail was professional-grade; no roller marks, no visible brush strokes, and perfect blending on textured surfaces.

In short, Beams Painting delivered exactly what a general contractor needs from a painting subcontractor: dependability, respect for the job site, and top-tier results that enhance the overall project.
